Oh how we love to bemoan the challenges we face! But we can shift our thinking from believing they are the ‘bad stuff’ or the rough spots in our life - to realizing that they are our opportunity to move along the Path more quickly. It’s hard to move fast when one can’t get good traction.
The Path is our way home, home to reunion with our Creator. Yogananda and Kriyananda have taught us that this is the only Path there is. Sooner or later we will all arrive. If we use the techniques they have given us to raise our energy to meet the challenges, we will find ourselves home more quickly.
We don’t want to wish you more challenges. But we do wish you the grace to face those that surely come with the knowledge that Divine Mother sends us what we most need. The question is what will we do with these opportunities.
Blessings on your journey,
Timothy

Expanding Light Outreach News
We recently sponsored the Meditation Dome at Wanderlust Festival, the largest outdoor yoga festival in the world. More than 10% of the attendees, about 925 people, took classes in the Dome, most with Ananda teachers. This was a major outreach initiative for the Retreat and very successful!
At the end of August, we will be Silver Sponsors at the SYTAR conference, run by the Association of Yoga Therapists.
In late October, Gyandev McCord will be a keynote speaker at the International Association of Yoga Teachers conference in Indian Wells. We will also have a staffed booth there.
Inspiration from The Bhagavad Gita
“Thus, when Krishna told Arjuna to be a yogi, he didn’t mean necessarily to be Hindu yogi. All those in every religion who sincerely seek God walk the same path, ultimately speaking, for their devotion turns them inward to experience Him. It cannot be otherwise.”

Inspiration from Swami Kriyananda
God is Solution Oriented
“The more you will bring an intuitive flow into what you're doing, the more you'll find that you don't have to worry that much about it. The practical mind, the conscious mind tells you, oh, I've got to think about all these details because if I don't, who will? Well, God doesn't have to; He just gives you the answers.
“He's so oriented in solution consciousness that He doesn't have to know the problem!
“Realize that there is a certain level of functioning that doesn't require knowledge. You don't have to know all about the shadows to understand the Light. Just keep your mind on the Light more.
“Keep your mind on that intuitive flow! Ask Him to work through you!”
From The "Art of Intuitive Teaching"
by Swami Kriyananda, January 1983
