2-day weekend
There are no dates currently scheduled.
Learn how to focus your heart’s inspiration into beautiful form, and create lovely spaces that lift the spirit. Keeping your altar fresh and inspiring adds energy to your own devotion and spiritual life!
This weekend you will explore all aspects of creating harmonious spiritual areas for yourself and others in your home, garden, church, or temple, even while traveling. Two experiential workshops will give you the skills you most need to create your own sacred places:
- Color: How to tune into and use the qualities of different colors
- Design: How to use balance, asymmetry, scale, and focal points
- Fabrics: Learn to choose fabrics, to create line and texture, to layer and anchor fabrics
- Flowers: How to use both fresh and silk flowers
- Garden shrines: Ideas and tips for building your own
- Travel altars: Create a spiritual environment wherever you are
- And much more
This weekend, you will visit shrines, altars, and temples in Ananda Village, including some at Crystal Hermitage.
This program is taught by Sraddha Williams, who has created beautiful altars for Sunday services and special events at Ananda for many years. She has also designed and built temples in a number of Ananda meditation centers. Sraddha says, “This is the most fun of anything I do – a beautiful altar or environment uplifts our hearts and minds, and reminds us of the beauty of the Divine everywhere.” Sraddha’s creativity, devotional nature, attunement to beauty, and great sense of fun will make this a life-transforming weekend for you.
