We're taught that God has everything – except our love. It is in our power to give our love to God.
Mother Theresa used Christ's words "I thirst" as a guiding motto. Later in her life she explained to one of her followers that Christ had told her that what he was truly saying was that He thirsted for our love!
No one can give your love away but you. Give it to God. Perhaps it is easier for many to give it to God in the form of Divine Mother. She is waiting for you to give her your love.
The more we fully love God, the more God will carry our burdens.
Some years ago, one of the readers of this eNotes – Kalpna, wrote the following to me.
"It is futile to carry all the burdens on our shoulders when we have someone more able and willing to help us out. It's like a passenger sitting on a train with his suitcase on his head! The train (God) is carrying us – surely it can carry our luggage too."
I don't think it will work if we come with a 'let's make a deal' attitude, however. Love is the gift we need to give.

Paramhansa Yogananda &
Swami Kriyananda
Commenting on a disciple who was impatient with the 'payback' on his efforts, Yogananda said:
"He will never find God that way! He is like a merchant who says, "Lord, I have given you so many Kriyas; now You have to keep Your side of the bargain and give me so much realization.' God never responds to such mercenary devotion! He accepts nothing less from us than our unconditional love."

To get off the wheel, you have to desire freedom very intensely. Then only will God release you. Your longing has to be fervent. If it is, and if you are determined no more to want to play, the Lord has to release you. He tries to keep you here with tests, but in His higher aspect, as the Cosmic Lover, He hates this show, and wants you out of it. Why shouldn't He release you, once He sees that you really want Him alone, and not His show: that you want only freedom in Him?
