Adho Mukha Shvanasana

Adho Mukha Shvanasana
Downward-Facing Dog Pose

This is a powerfully calming asana once you can be comfortable in it. In addition to stretching the extremities, it’s a partial inversion, so subtle gravity will draw prana to the brain if you keep your spine straight. Make a straight spine your highest priority in this asana. Then the affirmation will come to life:

“Calmness radiates from every fiber of my being.”

Ananda is a worldwide movement to help you realize the joy of your own higher Self. It is based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and was founded by his direct disciple Swami Kriyananda in 1968.
