This special weekend will provide fathers and their adult children with an opportunity to shift their focus away from the responsibilities, distractions, and ‘busyness’ of their lives and routines. The Father’s Day Retreat will provide opportunities for quality time and experiences that focus on attention, appreciation, and sharing - in honor of the special relationship between fathers and their children.

The weekend will be facilitated by Ganesha Kieran and Badri Matlock.
Ganesha is a long-time Ananda member and minister. Over the years he and his wife have put their spiritual teachings to the test while raising two children, serving as Ananda Center Leaders in San Francisco and Sacramento, teaching numerous meditation classes, giving Sunday services, and starting a meditation group in Italy where they lived for five years.
Ganesha is a certified Ananda Yoga teacher, and has also worked for decades as an engineer while supporting his family, With a natural scientific bent and a warm and fun-loving spirit, Ganesha brings a sincere and practical groundedness to his teaching of yoga and meditation, which participants find pleasing, helpful, and refreshing.
Badri is a certified Yoga and Meditation teacher who has been teaching for more than 7 years. He has lived at Ananda Village since 2008 and was recently married to Gita. Badri is a graduate of California State University and received his B.S. degree in Kinesiology. He is also interested in sustainability and agriculture, music, community, health, and fitness. Badri teaches yoga for The Expanding Light and co-directs the Living with Spirit Summer Program at Ananda. His students welcome his practicality and openness, and the dynamism, energy, and passion he exudes.

Ganesha is a certified Ananda Yoga teacher, and has also worked for decades as an engineer while supporting his family of four. With a natural scientific bent, Ganesha brings a practical groundedness to his teaching of yoga and meditation, which many students find both helpful and refreshing.

Ananda Meditation Teacher
Badri Matlock is a dynamic young teacher and program leader. His dedicated practice of yoga and meditation began at age 17, and he has lived and taught at Ananda since 2009. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology from California State Long Beach.

Prices are all-inclusive and cover accommodations, meals, classes or activities, and course materials.
Father's Day Retreat starts the afternoon of the first date listed and ends with lunch on the last date listed. Check-in is anytime between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at our Front Desk. Your room will be available by 3:00 p.m. Dinner is at 6:30. The first gathering of your group is after dinner.

You can add extra personal retreat days before and/or after your program. Check availability and costs for the days and accommodations that you require.
Father's Day Retreat starts the afternoon of the first date listed. It’s ideal to arrive before 4 pm, if you are able to. That way, you can join in the afternoon session of yoga and meditation, which begins at 4:45 pm. Dinner is at 6:30. The first real gathering of your group is at 7:30 pm. If you need to arrive here after 5 pm, that’s fine, but it helps us if you let us know at 800-346-5350. We can also put aside a dinner for you if you need to arrive after 7 pm.
