My Guru

Only His love touches me
At my deepest core

Only His glance
Fills me with bliss

His wise words
Reach through the bustling thoughts of my mind
To touch my soul

My Guru's clarity
Keeps me on the path

His brilliant light
Clearing the habits of past lives

My Guru's blessings,
Ever working to open me
To the flow of God's grace

My Guru's face,
Shaped by lifetimes of Divine love
Melting my heart

Only my Master's raft
Can carry me over the fog-bound sea of delusion
To the firmament of the other shore

He waited patiently
While I wandered through lifetimes of delusion

His words clear the clouds
That the sun may shine through
To fill my soul with Light

Oh my blessed Guru
Hold me in your hands and heart
Bring me home
That I may know God through You
