If you feel that you are too inflexible, old, or overweight to enjoy yoga, you will love this class. The beauty of yoga is that poses can be adapted to suit any person’s body, and to give you wonderful healing benefits.
With yoga practice, you can become more flexible, improve your circulation, and feel younger and more energetic.
Your instructor for this class, Uddhava Ramsden, began teaching yoga in 1996, with a focus on extra-gentle yoga for seniors and those with special needs. The class size is small enough for him to work with the special needs of each participant, showing you how yoga can feel comfortable and enjoyable for you, with maximum benefits.
You’ll learn how to modify poses to work for you, and will have a personalized yoga routine you can take home with you.
Your weekend will include:
- A simple warm-up routine that helps to increase flexibility as well as tone areas of the body
- Breathing techniques to deepen the body’s ability to relax and recharge
- Extra-Gentle Yoga postures
- Affirmations to direct and focus the mind to draw the most benefits from the yoga poses
- Suggested poses to practice at home.
