Whether you have tried to meditate and felt that you couldn’t make it work for you, or you have never really given it a good try – we will help you!

Here, you will learn a marvelously effective breathing technique to help you concentrate the mind. Your meditation class instructor will help you learn to sit comfortably so that your body doesn’t distract you. You’ll discover how best to establish a daily practice of meditation and to experience its benefits in all aspects of your life.

You will leave feeling confident that you have the attitude and techniques you need to sustain a meditative practice.

You will learn to meditate in person from someone who is actively using the techniques they’re sharing, and who has experience teaching others.

You’ll have access to a number of resources, including physical exercises to aid relaxation, and written lessons to help you get the best possible start on your meditation practice.

At The Expanding Light Retreat you’ll feel the blessings of 40 years of people devotedly practicing meditation here. All aspects of the environment – from the warm and relaxed atmosphere to the daily practice of meditation after yoga postures, the humor and joy of the teaching staff, and the wonderful fellow students – all aid your ability to relax and experience inner peace.
