Gopal Sims
Gopal Sims is an Ananda Kriyaban and seventh-degree Kenpo Karate Black Belt with more than 40 years of martial arts experience. He has taught and competed successfully throughout the U.S. and Europe. He holds numerous international karate titles, and was the captain, player, and coach of the 1987 U.S. Karate Team. Gopal teaches health and wellness, yoga, tai chi, cardio-conditioning, and self defense at Sierra College, where he was voted 2010 Part-time Teacher of the Year.
He is an Ananda Yoga Teacher Training graduate and has been teaching yoga since 1979. He has received acclaim for his Peace for Warriors program, which helps anyone (and especially veterans) suffering from Post-traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD).
