During this rich and meaningful weekend, led by Nayaswami Anandi, we will first understand what each person is truly seeking. Together, we will explore the practical tools for transformation shared by Yogananda and look at steps that you can take in your life."

Yogananda’s book, How to Awaken Your True Potential, included in your course materials, is a powerful resource for ongoing suggestions and deep inspiration. Here are excerpts from the book: 

During meditation the yogi feels the power of concentration in the will center at the point between the eyebrows, and also experiences a feeling of complete peace throughout his body. When he wants to scour from the brain cells the seeds of past failure or sickness, he must direct that peace-and-concentration power to be felt in the entire brain. In this way the brain cells become impregnated with peace and power, and their hereditary chemical and psychological composition is altered.

The minutes are more important than the years. If you fill the minutes of your life with thoughts of God, you will find the years of your life automatically saturated with the consciousness of God.
Never think of tomorrow. Take care of today and all the tomorrows will be taken care of. Do not wait until tomorrow to meditate. Do not wait until tomorrow to be good. Be good now. Be calm now. It will be the turning point of your life.

 

3 Tips for Awakening Your True Potential

1. Look within yourself deeper than your personality, talents or lack of talents. In the uplifted silence of meditation, experience the calmness and joy of your soul.
2. As you try to establish good habits, do not feel you are alone. Invite God’s loving participation to help you.
3. Practice judicious “fasting,” such as “worry fasting,” where during certain hours of the day, you determine that no matter what happens, you will not worry.

Prices are all-inclusive and cover accommodations, meals, classes or activities, and course materials.

Awaken Your True Potential starts the afternoon of the first date listed and ends with lunch on the last date listed. Check-in is anytime between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at our Front Desk. Your room will be available by 3:00 p.m. Dinner is at 6:30. The first gathering of your group is after dinner.

You can add extra personal retreat days before and/or after your program. Check availability and costs for the days and accommodations that you require.

Awaken Your True Potential starts the afternoon of the first date listed. It’s ideal to arrive before 4 pm, if you are able to. That way, you can join in the afternoon session of yoga and meditation, which begins at 4:45 pm. Dinner is at 6:30. The first real gathering of your group is at 7:30 pm. If you need to arrive here after 5 pm, that’s fine, but it helps us if you let us know at 800-346-5350. We can also put aside a dinner for you if you need to arrive after 7 pm.
