Daily Live Sadhana
The spiritual path leads us home to our own true Self. During our annual Inner Renewal Week, devotees from Ananda Village and around the world join together to dive more deeply into the spirit and practices of Yogananda’s teachings that will renew and deepen our inner life.
Inner Renewal Week was created by Nayaswamis Jyotish and Devi to help us all refocus and enliven our quest for God. The week features five powerful morning classes offering inspiration and tools for living, as well as some live, guided sadhanas on several mornings, and two guided, informal afternoon gatherings. The week closes with Kriya initiation for those eligible.

Some of the benefits of Inner Renewal Week:
- Find answers to your deep spiritual questions and needs
- Be inspired to discard limiting habits and manifest your dreams
- Spend time online with people from around the world who share your aspirations
- Feel blessed by a tangible divine presence
What is the Yogic Lifestyle?
This year, our week's topics will allow for a deeper exploration of key aspects of living the yogic lifestyle. Centering around five books representing Yogananda’s teachings we will explore the following aspects of living a spiritual life:
What is a “yogic lifestyle"? “Yoga” means union on every level: Union of the small self and the Great Self, internal harmony, unity of purpose, lessening of internal friction from negative emotions or toxic living habits. In his Gita commentaries, Yogananda said that all suffering stems from “separation.” During this week, we will focus especially on spiritual tools to create a deeper sense of internal harmony and attunement to one's higher Self.
Attunement through Satsang: On the spiritual path, our goal is to love other people not just because of similarity of interests or personality but from experiencing our oneness in God. One of the most helpful things you can do to experience that oneness is to come together with other devotees. Ananda online is proving that virtual Satsang does allow us to co-join our uplifted energies with one another.
Right attitude: Yogananda said: “It is not the technique of meditation alone that will bring you freedom; your character must be strong and pure. Your whole life and behavior must be in harmony with the laws of truth.”
We invite you to consider this week as you would a retreat or reflective seclusion. Let our online energy support you to cooperate actively with the inner workings of subtle energy and consciousness to help re-calibrate your attitude.
Service to others: “The science of transcendental knowledge has been imparted to you, O Arjuna. No effort ever goes to waste in selfless service, and there is no adverse effect. There is always an opportunity to serve, and there is always time.” –Bhagavad Gita
The week’s daily guided meditations and talks will help you renew your energy to serve others.
Meditation: “Kriya Yoga is universal in its benefits: it doesn’t depend on anything outside itself.” — Paramhansa Yogananda: A Biography by Swami Kriyananda
