Dear friend

If you are someone who goes on Spiritual Retreats and who reads things like this newsletter, then you're in the club of people who are trying to lead a better life and be a positive influence.

Those of us in this club always are working to do better, to grow, and to help others do the same. At times the never-ending effort can lead us to lose our connection with the joy available to us. Paramhansa Yogananda made it clear that we should be happy. Don't let endless striving rob the joy from your life.

We make mistakes. If we weren't still making mistakes we wouldn't have shown up again on this planet. At the end of the day – or why wait until the end of the day – we do well to look at our mistakes and give some thought to what we have hopefully learned. Consider how we could do better next time.

Then let it go! Drop the guilt. Connect with your gratitude. We are here to learn, grow and fulfill our karma. We don't fulfill our karma if in facing it we get all wound up in a knot and stay stressed out!

Thanks for being one of "the good guys." Let's keep supporting each other and raising consciousness. Give yourself a break. Let the joy in. We're doing the best we can. It's not an easy planet. Then extend that attitude to others. More kindness will further bless us all.
