Ananda Village provides guest groups two extraordinary places to bring up to 85 guests. Our vision is to serve like-minded groups who will benefit from our spiritually energized and divinely blessed 700-acre intentional spiritual community.

We've been welcoming guests to The Expanding Light Retreat from around the world for over 45 years. Many types of groups have deepened their own mission and member experience by spending time in our uplifting space nestled within Ananda Village.

Our retreat campus includes a large community dining room, octagonal Teaching Temple, and a large outdoor piazza for dining and congregating. We have 4 large buildings with varying levels of accommodations, deluxe rooms with ensuite baths, standard rooms with hallway baths, as well as cabins. Our large gardens and meadows provide ample space to enjoy nature.

Gaia House is a unique 2-story, custom-designed house located within Ananda Village was made of rammed earth with tall ceilings and lots of light. The house has 6+ bedrooms and can sleep up to 15 adults.

The 2-story layout provides ample and flexible first floor space including a beautiful kitchen, expansive dining area, and multi-use living area. There is also an enclosed office space that can be converted to an extra bedroom, as well as a separate teaching or meditation room, with dual aspect and tall ceilings. The second floor has 6 uniquely furnished rooms, some with shared baths, and three with ensuite bathrooms.

The women LOVED Gaia House as well as the wonderful vegetarian lunches and the privilege of walking around the grounds, the shop, and little museum at Crystal Hermitage. The accommodations were comfortable, and I know everyone was happy with the arrangements. Thank you so much again for helping me with this!
