A colleague of mine reached out to me, as he’d been struggling with mental health issues. He had just come from the psychiatrist, who was planning on putting him on prescription medications.
He was trying to learn more about holistic forms of healing, so he asked me to teach him how to meditate. We had a few private lessons, and he began meditating each and every day. I kept track of his progress and answered any questions he had. Before long, he was discharged from seeing his psychotherapist as he’d improved so rapidly—all without medications!
This was an exceptionally motivating story for me. We still keep in touch today—he has even introduced meditation to a few of his friends.
