Have you been fascinated by photos and stories of the Hindu deities? The gods and goddesses of Hinduism represent deep teachings about how we can develop the highest within us.

AUM is the vibration of God’s consciousness through which all creation has come into being. There are 3 aspects of that vibration: the Creator (Brahma), the Sustainer (Vishnu), and the Destroyer (Shiva). These 3 forces operate through all of creation and within each of us personally.

Each of the 3 aspects of God (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva) has a consort, or feminine partner, to show the balance between masculine and feminine energies within us.

In this weekend you’ll explore these 3 forces and how they relate to you and your personal journey. You will have time to introspect about how these forces work within you. For example:

• Do you use Brahma energy to renew and re-create yourself?
• Do you use your Vishnu energy to live a dharmic (righteous) life, guided by divine truth?
• Do you use your Shiva power to purify and cleanse old habits?

The weekend will include classes and introspection on:

• How to balance your outer and inner energies.
• How to balance creativity, initiative, and divine wisdom.
• How to live a dharmic life with loyalty, patience, and steadfastness.
• How to release old habits that do not serve you.

The weekend includes a special evening program of Indian puja, a purification of the senses, led by Diksha, and stories from Hindu mythology by her husband Gyandev McCord.

This weekend will be led by Diksha McCord, and is based on Swami Kriyananda’s book The Hindu Way of Awakening.
