Much more than a week of classes, Spiritual Renewal Week is a 7-day event, every part of which will lift your consciousness and give you tools to enliven your spiritual life at home.

Spiritual Renewal Week has been the highlight of Ananda’s summer
for 40 years. It’s a time when Ananda members join guests to enjoy

the dynamic energy and blessings, the fellowship and the fun. This year’s Spiritual Renewal Week will celebrate Ananda’s 40 years of sharing joy and inspiration. A highlight will be Swami Kriyananda, Ananda’s founder, visiting from his home in India.


The week includes:

  • Morning classes by Swami Kriyananda and other of Ananda’s foremost teachers in the beautiful Lotus Lake amphitheater;
  • Afternoons of quiet pilgrimage at Ananda’s Meditation Retreat and Crystal Hermitage;
  • Instruction in meditation for beginning and advanced students;
  • The First and Higher Kriya Initiations for those eligible;
  • Delightful evenings of uplifting entertainment, musical performances, devotional chanting, and a gala banquet;
  • Relaxed sharing with spiritual seekers from around the world.

You will draw inspiration from this unforgettable week for years to come.

Morning:   “World Brotherhood Colonies: Social Pattern for Dwapara Yuga” with Swami Kriyananda
Afternoon: Meditation classes: introduction, deepening your meditation, Kriya Review
Evening: Concert of music composed by Swami Kriyananda

Tuesday
Morning:   “The Story of Ananda: Exploring New Frontiers of Consciousness” with a panel of speakers
Afternoon: Tours of Ananda
Evening: Evening in the homes of Ananda members

Wednesday
Morning:   “Why Has Ananda Succeeded?” — Leadership, Cooperation, and Attunement with Grace with Jyotish & Devi
Afternoon: Quiet afternoon at Crystal Hermitage
Evening: Kirtan—devotional chanting

Thursday
Morning:   “Hope for a Better World” — Education, Arts, Sanaathan Dharma, Inner Renunciation, Inner Communion with a panel of speakers
Afternoon &
Evening: Performance of Swami Kriyananda’s play, “The Peace Treaty”

Friday
Morning:   Panel of Kriya ministers speaking on Kriya (note, this class may be on Saturday)
Evening: Kriya initiations or free evening

Saturday
Morning:   “Sharing Master’s Message with the World” (this class may be on Friday)
Afternoon: Donor’s lunch
Evening: Indian Banquet, concluding with a talk by Swamiji and Sri Kaartikeyan

Sunday
Morning:   Sunday Service with Swami Kriyananda

Every morning from 6:30-8:30 will be guided Energization exercises, yoga, and meditation. Some evenings will also include these spiritual practices. At 9:15 am on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings, we’ll offer an introductory meditation class in the Temple.
