Ananda Vacation in Hawaii

Choose from one-week Big Island retreats:

There are no dates currently scheduled.

Pebble Beach

Enjoy a relaxing, rejuvenating week in paradise.

You’ll be part of a small family of like-minded souls: not more than 9 people (besides Gyandev and Diksha). You’ll stay in a gorgeous home in the town of Captain Cook on the famed Kona Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii.

One of the beauties of this location is that it is not a tourist spot; it is a spacious residential and open-space area, very near the ocean, with a “secret” black sand beach just a short walk away. (The scenic photo at left was taken from the lanai of your home, shown in the photo below.)

  • Kayaking (3 two-person kayaks, with life vests, are available)
  • Hiking to Crater Rim or Black Sand Beach

  • Watching—perhaps even swimming with—the dolphins and turtles
  • Peaceful balmy evenings

  • An evening of storytelling
  • Just sitting on the black sand beach and enjoying the soothing ocean breeze

Extras

You can, of course, take advantage of some of the many excellent tourist attractions on the Big Island. You’ll want to rent a car if you plan to go out on your own. You can also arrange for a massage or facial.

Your Hawaiian Home

You’ll enjoy staying in a modern dream house, with a spacious interior, indoor and outdoor dining, and a gorgeous, wide-angle ocean view.

The house has 6 bedrooms and 3½ bathrooms. One bedroom has a private bathroom.

You will share your bedroom with one other person. A private room might be available; feel free to ask for that option.

The yard backs up to a vacant 70-acre ranch, giving you a very private backyard. There is a lovely outdoor shower to use after a refreshing swim, then relax and watch the sunset while soaking in the hot tub (see photo above).

Cost

$1355–$1395 per person for the two-person rooms

$2175 for a private room (if available)

The exact cost depends on which room you stay in. Because this is an intimate setting, the rooms will be assigned once the retreat is filled, and we will inform you of your exact cost once all rooms are assigned. We are happy to take room requests, but we cannot guarantee that your request can be met. A private room may or may not be available.

Reserve Your Space Now

A $300 deposit will ensure your space; your balance is due December 1. Cancellations prior to December 1 receive a refund of $200; for cancellations after December 1, the deposit will be forfeited.

Flights

Fly into Kailua-Kona Hawaii; the airport code is KOA. Our house is about an hour’s drive south of the Kona airport. If your flight arrives by 2:00 PM on March 11 or March 18, we will be happy to pick you up at the airport. Also, we can take you back to the airport by mid-morning on Sunday at the end of your retreat. If your flight times are not compatible with those airport arrival and departure times, you will need to arrange your own transportation from or to the airport.
