It takes courage to let go and let God, but once you feel this transformative and empowering shift, you will wonder why you waited so long! Learning to step into the unknown is an act of faith and cultivates a deep awakening of bliss in our souls.

There’s a phrase that begins the Yoga Sutras, “Now we come to the study of Yoga.” It means that there comes a time when a person discovers that worldly successes are not enough for him. When a person begins to feel an inner emptiness, in spite of being surrounded by material abundance, he or she needs to seek a different type of solution for lasting happiness.

Meditation is central to the yogic lifestyle and is the doorway to living filled with inner joy. Living simply, with high ideals and daily meditation, makes it possible to bring spiritual realization into your daily life.

During this retreat you will:

  • Learn and practice a simple but powerful meditation technique that will bring you happiness, greater inner peace, and will improve your ability to focus your mind
  • Explore the practical and timeless teachings of India that bring clarity and inspiration to everyday life
  • Explore guided journaling combined with simple yoga movements to help increase awareness
  • Have time for relaxed fellowship and sharing our heart’s aspirations.

Your weekend will be led by Nayaswami Sahaja. Her upbeat and cheerful wisdom will guide you to the joy of living in grace.

What is a nayaswami?

Sahaja is a minister and yoga teacher who has been practicing yoga postures and meditation since 1975. Loving the sense of calm the practices brought her, in 1991 she joined Ananda's community in Palo Alto and began practicing with greater depth and regularity.

Prices are all-inclusive and cover accommodations, meals, classes or activities, and course materials.

Living in Grace starts the afternoon of the first date listed and ends with lunch on the last date listed. Check-in is anytime between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at our Front Desk. Your room will be available by 3:00 p.m. Dinner is at 6:30. The first gathering of your group is after dinner.

You can add extra personal retreat days before and/or after your program. Check availability and costs for the days and accommodations that you require.

Living in Grace starts the afternoon of the first date listed. It’s ideal to arrive before 4 pm, if you are able to. That way, you can join in the afternoon session of yoga and meditation, which begins at 4:45 pm. Dinner is at 6:30. The first real gathering of your group is at 7:30 pm. If you need to arrive here after 5 pm, that’s fine, but it helps us if you let us know at 800-346-5350. We can also put aside a dinner for you if you need to arrive after 7 pm.
