Overflow Accommodations Available for the
Yuga Conference

We have arranged for additional rooms at an excellent nearby camp called Shady Creek, which is a 6-minute drive from The Expanding Light parking lot. For the Yuga Conference we will be providing busses and/or vans to move guests from Shady Creek and back.

These rooms are clean and feel great. They are basic but very good accommodations.

Guests should expect to be placed in one of the two following types of rooms.

Crescent Lodge

Crescent Lodge is a row of individual rooms made of rammed earth. It’s not likely the weather will be warm, but they are equipped with evaporative coolers should they be needed.

You could share a room with someone and have your own space, as there are up and down beds in these rooms.

Mountain Cabins

There are also freestanding cabins called Mountain Cabins. These little buildings are only six years old and have sliding glass doors opening to a deck overlooking the woods.

At both Mountain Cabins and Crescent Lodge, there are some queen beds and some bunks. There are excellent, well-maintained, clean men’s and women’s shower houses close by.

We will only be putting 2 people in a room, unless you prefer more. The facilities are often used for kids and there are more bunks in the rooms than will be used. Other furnishings are minimal to say the least.

The Expanding Light will be providing all our guests bedding for Shady Creek, since they do not provide them.

All meals are included in your accommodation price if you stay at The Expanding Light or at Shady Creek. Breakfast will be at Shady Creek, lunch and dinner will be at The Expanding Light.

You may stay at Shady Creek one, two or three nights. We are trying to hold Expanding Light rooms for people staying for all three nights of the Conference.
